Inaugural spurs need to read fiction:
vital facts spiced with romance and action

“I can’t count how many times I’ve picked up a contemporary novel with the intent of reading for pure pleasure only to be assailed by the author’s liberal agenda inappropriately inserted somewhere in the text,” said A. Dru Kristenev, author of “Gold Baron.” “It struck me that a better use of the concept would be to have a conservative agenda form a purposeful background for a book’s storyline, so that’s the route I took.”

Noting that statistics in the most recent presidential election indicated that a majority of single women voters cast their ballot for Obama, Kristenev felt pressed to promote this concept with more alacrity.

Beginning with the first book of the Baron Series, “Land Barons,” Kristenev tackled the issue of land use and the encroachment of government regulation on private property rights. It occurred to the author that one way to reach recreational readers was to craft a good story that uses solid information to create a backdrop of extortion, land acquisition and murder. Incorporating action and romance would make the book more interesting to those, women in particular, who read for escape and stress relief, explained Kristenev. “I’ve always known that it’s easier to get a point across with humor, so why not use entertainment reading in the same way?”

“Although the second novel “Gold Baron” was written during the primary cycle of this last presidential election and was meant to catch people before they entered the voting booth, it seems even more important that the story is read before we have lost any more ground in the arena of constitutional rights,” stated the author. “Women are under tremendous pressure in our society to perform as breadwinners, homemakers, sensual sirens and mothers all at once. It’s all too easy to let politics take a minor role in their busy lives and even allow themselves to be drawn toward charismatic personalities.”

Both books, “Land Barons” and “Gold Baron” are well researched in order to provide a solid grounding for the respective stories. Kristenev has hopes that enticing the reader with an intriguing tale – a story that’s soundly constructed upon a factual basis – will encourage individuals to delve further and collect their own information.

“I don’t want anyone to simply accept what they hear or read, they’re already doing that with every politician that speaks with the affectation of sincerity. We are inundated with the blatant celebrity of this inauguration to the point that false optimism has overwhelmed the intellect, allowing us to become complacent. I challenge everyone to do their own research and spend the time to learn the facts. Having an informed electorate is the only way our country can thrive but it doesn’t hurt to have a little fun with it along the way.”

This is why the website ChangingWind.org is an operational portal into the subjects of the Baron series. The credible news stories and balanced informational links provided create an avenue for readers to begin their investigative journey. The author clarified that the website is a real incarnation of the website in the book “Gold Baron” and is actually directed by a character from the story, Toddy Littman, making the crossover between fiction and reality. Kristenev strongly specifies that the research is also real and urges everyone to check it out for themselves and comment on the content.

All too often emotionalism enters into potential voters’ decisions about issues and candidates, according to Kristenev, who said further that the best way to be an effectual citizen of the United States is to do a little homework. As B. Johnson from “Gold Baron” says, “reason is the heart of freedom,” and the author believes that this country is best honored by remembering that little bit of logic.

History of the series:
“Gold Baron” was crafted from concept to finished product in three months, propelled forward by the rapid developments of the 2008 campaign and a vision of an economic crisis that, when the project was begun, only loomed on the horizon. Reality has taken the country in a turn toward the institution of socialism that the book paints through the manipulation of a market tool different than the one used in fact. However, the result is the same… panic induced by market manipulation and a predicted effect upon the electorate and election.

The previous book, “Land Barons,” took three years to research and write. Finished in 2007, it and “Gold Baron” are available for purchase through the website www.ChangingWind.org where more information can be found about what forces are advancing the economic terrorism the world is now witnessing.

Look for the upcoming novel and third in the series, “Energy Barons,” due out in 2009.

Summary: An innovative approach to addressing the possible consequences of the 2008 political season… ChangingWind.Org is an interactive website drawing very real insights from an astute character extracted from a fictional book, “Gold Baron,” who takes a solid stand on the events unfolding daily on the political and economic stage.

Real world events set the stage for a novel’s insight into a racist campaign

The internet is a tool and it is a source of entertainment. While younger Americans more and more have abandoned the traditional book in favor of the LCD screen to seek both information and enjoyment, it’s time that the two were networked in a format that entices readers to both. ChangingWind.Org is a website where fictional characters expound on the real-life issues confronting us right now, today. The innovative, interactive site gives readers the opportunity to read a novel of timely impact while connecting the dots to what’s really being established under our very noses.

The new action novel Gold Baron doesn’t rely on shoot-outs and car chases alone to draw the reader into the complex story of misinforming, message massaging, misdirection and just plain intimidation of the electorate. The story careens down a wild and woolly trail throughout the West as the characters do everything in their power to research the shady connections of some of the candidates and get the information to the voting public.

Gold Baron draws on the rich personal histories of the characters to address the issues of the 2008 campaign, one that has been littered with rank charges of racism emanating from the party sponsoring a candidate of color. A Native American journalist and a legal researcher, the epitome of the Southwest’s ‘Heinz 57,’ join forces to uncover the truth at the risk of their lives.

The words of a conscientious news reporter, Solana Greyfisher, tells the tale of how important the real story is behind the manipulated images and misleading sound bites that reverberate across the airwaves. She doesn’t pull punches and neither should the current press…

“The denigrating comments about Eddinger’s status as a Viet Nam vet could backfire on him, too,” added Solana. “It’s nonsensical to place your bets on the fact that having an African father will give him more standing than someone who has served their country and been a P.O.W. If his campaign is assuming that all minorities will automatically flock to their banner because we are ‘downtrodden,’ it’s not likely to happen that way. People forget the proud heritage Native Americans have of serving as modern day warriors. My grandfather, many of my uncles and some aunts served this country. The democratic mantra disparaging the armed forces goes against a proud Native legacy of fighting for freedom, first against the U.S. in the past and then as part of this country’s citizenry.

“Sure, we’re sovereign within the borders of the United States, but we are also representatives of this nation’s history, creating a strong link between the ancestral heritage of the land and modern times.

“You know what really ticks me off is the mantra that simply because the man is African-American, anyone who dares to vote for someone else is automatically painted as a racist,” she fairly seethed at the presumption. “Skin color hasn’t a damn thing to do with whether or not someone is qualified for a job, let alone the presidency. If that were the criteria then I’m just as qualified to run this nation.”

“Don’t underrate yourself,” smiled Toddy. “I’d venture to say that you’re far more qualified than Kasili if it came down to basics of understanding what this country stands for and what real freedom is.” He reclined in the seat. “I’ll bet you can balance a checkbook, too and I’d lay money that Kasili probably hasn’t even had to do that much in his stunted experience. I’d vote for you any day.”

Get your copy today and read for yourself how easily the public is drawn toward celebrity and refuses to engage in the due diligence we need to cast an educated ballot. Even as this election cycle draws to a close, the moral remains valid in order to retain the integrity of America’s past as we move forward into the 21st century: Pretty lies do lead down a false path to ruin, as the author, A. Dru Kristenev, says. It’s up to us to follow the facts and the money to reach a conclusion that will best serve this country’s future.

PR-01-Gold Baron: Virtual Reality

Summary: An innovative approach to addressing the possible consequences of the 2008 political season… changingwind.org is an interactive website drawing very real insights from an astute character extracted from a fictional book, “Gold Baron,” who takes a solid stand on the events unfolding daily on the political and economic stage.

Reality and fiction cross paths
to wake-up and shake-up American voters

This is no time for virtual reality.

Unfortunately, that is all that the American public is bombarded with as they try to decide how to vote in a few weeks, and those who are taking steps to tell the real tale are not going far enough.

A new book, “Gold Baron,” crosses the line of prudent action by painting a valid picture of events through the eyes of fictional characters. One of those characters, Toddy Littman, is leaping from the fire of the story’s chase, where pursuers attempt to close down his truth-telling website, to take his tale to the real internet and the actual events of today.

“Gold Baron” is a fictional story of political intrigue, world markets and presumptive power brokers based on research of the underpinnings of real-time political and global financial maneuvering, and who’s instigating it.

Changingwind.org is the tool that Littman uses in the book to capture the attention of America as to what is behind the economic terrorism being wrought in order to sway voters to back a charlatan. It is also the name of the website readers can find today that tells the true tale of who is maneuvering the markets in an attempt to manipulate the vote for, who else, but a pretender in the midst of the real White House race.

Although the story is loaded with drama and action as truthsayers are chased and threatened. The actual changingwind.org is painting the real picture of media misdirection, candidate mendacity and the terrorist tactics being used to undermine the economy and the very fabric of America.

The virtual reality of the situation is what the modern media is selling, the actual reality is that free speech and the right to the pursuit of happiness as envisioned by our founding fathers is at stake. Capitalism is on the brink of being replaced with another more sinister way of life, one that predisposes everyone to the category of victim and ward of the State – Communism.

Is this the cry of a crazy heretic? Only the individual can decide that, but he or she must be diligent enough to do their homework. Toddy’s done the research. It’s in the book, laid out in a way that, although fictional, should distress the voter enough to find out more. They can do exactly that when they go to the real life website to see just how the fictional drama might be a harbinger of what is occurring under their very noses… today.

Toddy isn’t interested in anyone simply accepting what he says. It is for each American to accept responsibility for their vote and dig deeper than the platitudes that are plastering the airwaves, print and internet, and to go beyond the mantras of the celebrities who are the most vulnerable to persuasion as being persuaders themselves.

Read the book and be alarmed. Follow the research on the web and let knowledge drive you to the voting booth with the intent of saving the core of American values and way of life.

Don’t allow the emotional reactivity of the political arena to decide the election. As B. Johnson says, “Reason is the heart of freedom.”

*********

“Gold Baron” was crafted from concept to finished product in three months, propelled forward by the rapid developments of the campaign and a shared vision of an economic crisis that, when the project was begun, only loomed on the horizon. The reality has taken a turn toward the institution of socialism that the book painted through the manipulation of a market tool different than the one used in fact. However, the result is the same… panic induced by market manipulation.

The author, A. Dru Kristenev, had only one comment, “I wish that we had been able to reach the public sooner, that the whole concept of intertwining reality and fiction for better effect had come to us earlier. It didn’t, but we can still hope for American voters to come out of their haze and see that the loss of our country could be at hand.”

“Gold Baron” will be available for purchase through the website www.changingwind.org where more information about the election and what forces are advancing the economic terrorism that is already unleashed.
