Until last year, 9-11 2002 and on were the days we remembered those who died on 9-11-2001, be it those who were killed for just going to work, or those heroes who fought to overtake the hijackers and crashed Flight 93 into the ground, committing suicide to end the assault of America by commercial airliners.
We declared war on the perpetrators, and numerous changes to air travel, as well as more judicially open (non-secret) surveillance was ushered into our lives (see http://changingwind.org/index/news.php?extend.249.2) to assure a transparent process of prosecutions. This has led to a revealing of a culture at war with the dominant state of civilization and civil society, to the American People and other nations whose people were completely unaware of the hate of Free Societies.
Numerous people look to denial as their friend, claiming conspiracies that affirm some political agenda after the 9-11-2001 attack, amazingly in direct proportion to America setting our sights on those who would aid Al Qaeda. Thankfully, an overwhelming number of Americans knew the reality, best explained by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation....
See, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ItqE9yQi4yw for the unedited version if you're thinking something is being left out.
I reiterate this video to illustrate the causal link to attacking Iraq in relation to 9-11-2001, a causal link to Americans dying as a direct purpose and intention of our taking up an act of war. There are some other parallels that link to 9-11 that people may want to ignore, but that, due to the situation in Syria, I find we can't ignore.
Fast forward to September 11, 2012, when Chris Stevens, Sean Smith, Tyrone Woods, and Glen Doherty were killed in Benghazi, Libya. The story the U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. was repeating on the Sunday morning talk circuit was the attacks on Benghazi, Libya were incited by a video trailer shot by a Coptic Christian for a movie he sought to make.
The reason for the fairy tale being that these men died and the United States of America did nothing about it. America's Commander-in-Chief went to bed in preparation for the next day's political rally (we had our national election for President occurring at the time). President Obama treated the entire Benghazi Attack as a non-event, going about his political business unaffected, irrespective of full knowledge Americans were dying on 9-11 at the hands of those affiliated with the very enemies that had attacked us 11 years before that rendered 9-11 a date we know we must be militarily ready for, responding and defending Americans anywhere in the world; our military ready to swiftly find and hold perpetrators of actions against Americans and the United States accountable; the date every President would have speeches already written, at least in his mind, spoken in a general and calm manner to address the events that could occur on this very date, all written to calm and assure the American People that justice will be served; a date when everyone in the National Government is on alert for a potential attack for at least the next 50 years and until the likelihood of another attack on 9-11 dissipates into meaninglessness due to vanquishing our enemy or merely their cause being lost over the passage of time.
And here we are on the 12-year anniversary of 9-11 in New York, and, to always be remembered as well, the one-year anniversary of the Benghazi Attack. The former when America took our enemies and those who would help them to task, the latter when we did nothing and our Commander-in-Chief has the audacity to imply that the failure to respond on 9-11-2012 is a “phony scandal.” But in sobriety, we're asked this 9-11-2013 to accept that America is in the midst of our Commander-in-Chief having already decided to attack Syria… at least until he learns that political polls do not favor an attack on Syria at which point President Obama hands the matter to Congress, all the while piping “though I have authority to act without Congress.” Following this he beats up Congress with the notions of “moral obligation” to an old treaty that no other signatory has joined us in assuming a role, as though the U.S. Military is Obama's hit squad to call up whenever he wishes to play U.N. Cop to enforce their “international standards” of the “world community,” especially when it takes the spotlight off the scandals of Fast & Furious, IRS, NSA, Benghazi, and the mysterious deaths of Seal Team 6 members!
Let us hope the memorial, the remembrance of those who died on this day and how they died, as well as the wrongful politicization of those deaths by those wanting to live denying that America has an enemy who can and will seek to kill our people for sake of their belief wakes us up. That our now knowing we're to die if we do not believe as they do, leads to an ever-increasing “no” response to the question of taking any action in Syria where no Americans died (like they did in Benghazi, Libya one year ago). An immediate threat to the United States isn't the cause for which our U.S. Military or our U.S. Treasury is being called to task, but instead the enforcement of an ideal on a piece of paper, a treaty that has been violated by almost if not every country, signatory or otherwise, which renders our selective enforcement at the urging of a President, irrespective of party, a domestic political act alone. And that, my friends, is a manipulation of the American People for political purposes in abuse of power that, for this blogger, only further affirms the same happened in our domestic “phony scandals.” It is time America is no longer governed by party politics and returns to being governed according to Our Written Constitution, the Will of the People. We owe this to those who died on 9-11-2001 and 9-11-2012 so their deaths were not in vane, and owe this to our Posterity, so they never have to witness their government politicizing great tragedies that deserve to be recognized for their value to each of us as Individuals.
