Here is what I received in the much anticipated contact I had been hoping for for us, and, well, after making us wait these weeks after I sent them something and waiting for a reply, this is what I am told:

"Dear McGillicutti,

First I would like to thank you for your enthusiasm about Tabula Rasa. The TR team and everyone at NCsoft are honored by your passion and commitment to the game. I respect not only your innovative thinking on this proposal, but also your commitment to using games as a vehicle to better the world. It is a noble concept that I can stand by.

While examining our options with respect to Tabula Rasa, we looked at this issue from many possible angles. Your proposal is creative, which is to be applauded, but unfortunately we are unable to take you up on the offer at this time.

I appreciate all the efforts you have made in getting people interested in this project, and I’m glad to have a player in our community as dedicated as you are. I sincerely hope we can earn the same level of passion and excitement you have displayed for Tabula Rasa in some of our future games.

I thought you'd all like to know. Wish we could have done better, done more, but, I guess it's over at February 28th. At least this is a better reply than a letter writing campaign or petitions and I am glad Mr. Strain had a few minutes to send me an email after my 50 bucks for the game and 15 a month, 5 referrals, and efforts to do what I could for a game I love.

Unfortunately the players appear unimportant to NCSoft even those who want to take a game that's gone free and return it to a pay 2 play status that can afford them their return on investment and I even have the celebrity contacts they themselves had sought to weigh the possibility of doing this. It is confusing, very confusing. I haven't replied yet and just felt it important though that you all were informed as soon as I heard word. My commitment is to complete the mission, which so far as NCSoft appears is completed to the fullest extent practicable.

"Next?" Gonna run this past some people I know and see what happens with that, we may find another way yet, already have another company to approach but also this actor may have some ideas of his own. I'll be giving it a try tomorrow.
